I am very very disappointed by Ubuntu. Are you an end user or business customer? You need to get the Epson driver as described on http: Not yet an Epson partner? Unfortunately when I tried to put the printer back it couldn’t find a suitable driver nor was I allowed to select the correct one at any stage. Matt, sorry you’ve had to give up! It recognises the printer and, at least supposedly, installs it.

You may get an error about pstoalcx I therefore tried all 7 other C drivers to no avail. It didn’t fix the problem at first but after removing the printer from the list and putting epsob back again the problem seems to be fixed.
Does this actually exist? I’ve tried installing drivers from the avasis site, but either I don’t know how to do it, or those drivers have the same problem. The IP settings have been derived correctly and even the fill level of the toner cartridges seems to be determined.
