I am more concerned about widnows upgrades which may mess up the OS – that is why I posted the question – I suppose the best way is to get the exact MB reference and go to the manufacturers site for drivers and BIOS Regards Paul.

I decided to forget looking via HP and went direct to Broadcom If you don’t know, please click on the VGA controller in the device manager. If you are running Serverpost the top string of characters you see there. Those will identify the model video adapter you have and I can try and find some drivers for it.
